With the cold comes time for knitting again.  I've completed a couple more Koolhaas hats and I'm almost done with this chunky cabled throw from Lion Brand. I don't typically go for the super cutesy girly patterns with frills and all kinds of fabric combinations, but the truth is, I can't really stick to one style either. And, I just had to make something with this butterfly print from Sandi Henderson's latest fabric collection, Meadow Sweet, I decided to try the Frida Modkid pattern by Patty Young for a nice summery play shirt.

Yea!But first, about the interfacing. When I first started ironing on the woven interfacing, I was NOT impressed. The interfacing shrunk SO MUCH with the steam of the iron, that it rippled the holly crap out of the fabric. I had to rip it off several times and try again only to get the same result. I tried the iron-on vynil lining on the very first one I did which was the smallest bag.  I thought it would be convenient to use on all of them if it came out well, but I wasn't too happy with it.  The iron-on vynil feels kind of crinkley and hard.  It was a bit hard to sew through too.
